When their egg production drops, hens are deprived of water and food for up to 14 days at a time in order to shock their bodies into a period of increased [egg] laying. This extremely cruel practice, called “forced molting,” causes birds to lose their feathers and a significant percentage of their body weight, and many birds die from hunger and dehydration. This hen was rescued from a factory farm after her body was devastated by forced molting.

Notes:
On Cycles: "Our system goes through a cleansing process from 12am-12pm, and a building program from 12pm-12am. Therefore, what is eaten during these respective periods must be harmonious with the natural processes..."
On Cleansing: "As this action progresses, we become sick and feverish, large amounts of mucus are eliminated, diarrhea increases the discharge of waste material, and all of our resources go into action to clean us out as fast as possible..."
On Healing: "If we know these danger signals and engage our abilities in their maximum effort, we can survive the ordeal and live a normal life until further accumulations trigger another life change. However, the logical procedure is to prevent these accumulations from forming in the first place— then we have no need for the discomfort of the severe cleansing process."
